Months ago, I thrifted a circular bamboo shelf from a local thrift store and immediately thought it it looked pretty familiar. I then remembered a classic Crate & Barrel item (pictured below) that I have had pinned on my personal Pinterest board that I thought I could recreate.

Today it’s Kelsey here to teach you how to hack a IKEA KALLAX insert into two floating shelves! This drawer insert comes with some hardware to attach it to a KALLAX shelf, so we’re going to use that hardware to build our shelves!
