Make Your Own Travel Utensil Holder!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Reusable utensils (Bamboo fork + knife + spoon, straws)
Fabric (try and use fabric you already have!)
Sewing machine
Canvas ribbon
The first step is to cut a square of fabric that is taller than your tallest utensil, and longer than all of your utensils lined up beside each other. To create the bougiest hand sanitizer dispenser ever, we poured some hand sanitizer into this super cute amber glass eyedropper to add to the kit. Next, place all of your items onto the fabric and fold up the bottom to create a small bottom pouch.
This is when you can trim your fabric to create the perfect size. Next, pin and hem up all of the edges of your fabric. Add back your utensils and fold up that pouch again, and pin in between each of the utensils to measure out the size of each of the pockets! Remove the utensils and sew along the pins to create the pockets.
We also went ahead and made a napkin out of some of the leftover fabric. Next, we grabbed some canvas ribbon, and laid it along the top of the utensils and pinned between each of the utensils. This will act as additional support for your little pals to stay in their holder. Remove your utensils again and sew along where you pinned. We also added a little loop with that canvas ribbon in an empty corner to act as our napkin holder.
The last step is to add a ribbon to the back so that the whole thing can get tied up! Roll up your fabric with the utensils inside, and find the centre of the back of the roll. Pin the middle of your ribbon to the back and sew it into place! And that’s it, your super cute and super eco utensil roll is done!
