These flower coasters are the perfect DIY to do on a craft night with friends or if you need a little colour to add to your space. The best part is, they are super customizable, so they can be changed to any pattern, shape or colour of your desire.

Start off by grabbing some oven bake clay, in the colour of your choice. Make sure before you take off the packaging to note the time and temperature your specific clay needs to be baked for.

Next section off your clay and start rolling it out into a thin long cylinder approximately 15” long. You can use a tool for this like a rolling pin, but your hands work just as well!

With your long cylinder, create a circle and roll out the overlap until the seam isn’t showing anymore.

Now you can shape it into a fun abstract flower shape and bake it according to the instructions on your clay packaging.

Project 2 : Wall Mounted Flower Pot

Next, take a toothpick and create two holes (for screws) and a slit for your flower. It almost looks like a face!

Now grab a small glass vessel, this are easy to find at the thrift store or you can use an old spice bottle! Get creative! Lay it underneath the slit creating a little container for your flower to go in!

Using your hands and some water, smooth out the surface, bake it and now its ready to be hung up!

Project 3 : Decorative Floral Stem Holder

Again, starting of with some clay! Grab a generous amount to start.

Roll out a thick cylinder about 30” in length than using a rolling pin flatten out the surface to create a thin long rectangle.

Fold over your rectangle and score the edges that you will be joining together with a sharp object like a knife or a metal ruler.

Add water onto the spots you scored and now you can merge them together and smooth them out to make it look like one continuous organic triangle.

Now, using a toothpick, create a small hole for a stem to fit through and bake according to the instructions on the package.

Style it with a dried pampas grass, incense, one flower, etc. The possibilities are endless for this minimalistic DIY.
