DIY Ikea Dresser Upcycle

Kelsey’s sister, Jenna, was in need of a designated closet area in her bedroom because she felt like there was no real division between her bed and dressing area. It was all just feeling like one big space. So we decided to DIY a dresser to act as a divider between her bed and closet area, and really make the closet feel like it’s own space within the room. Using the Ikea dresser she already had, we were able to give her room a whole new look!

THE PROCESS

We started off by disassembling the dresser Jenna already had because it was still in pretty good shape and just needed a bit of a revamp. With a few items from the hardware store, we built the accompanying shelf, then stained and painted both units to give them a whole new look!
