Cozy Pink Paradise Room Makeover
Welcome back to another season of Dorm Series! This is the series where we makeover real student’s dorms! This year we are making over three different dorm rooms, and today we are starting with Natalia’s room. Natalia is a second year student from Dubai who is studying humanities + LOVES pink. The general idea is to rearrange some furniture, add some warmth to the room, and utilize the height in the room to make the room feel huge! Time to kick Natalia out of her room and get started!
BEFORE
DIY Watercolour art
Watercolour art is such a simple, easy, and affordable way to add colour and interest to a wall! Simply grab some giant watercolour paper + a super inexpensive watercolour paint kit with some colours that you like from your local craft store and get painting. For our art, we laid out three pieces of our watercolour paper on top of some garbage bags to protect our surface. We added a thick organic line (almost like a mountain range!) with a lot of pigment on our brush. We then used water to blend this line down! Continue adding thicker lines and blending until you are happy with your painting. We let these fully dry and then hung them on the wall using pink binder clips and wall-safe sticky hooks to attach to the wall behind the mirror.
