Tile Coasters
Coasters are a staple in everyones house. If you are spending money on buying furniture, you don’t want to ruin it with drink rings! Thats why a DIY coaster is an easy gift that works for everyone. Not only is it functional but its cute and this DIY can be tailored to any style.
Materials
Glass tiles
Tile cutter (only necessary if the glass tiles you have are not the right size)
Sandpaper
Etching cream
Masking tape
Exacto knife
Ruler
Steps
Cut tiles to desired size by scoring the edges until they snap off. For reference, mine are 4”x4”.
2. Sand down edges to assure they are smooth and safe to touch.
3. Use the exact knife and masking tape to mark down your desired design onto the tiles (mine is a checkered pattern).
4. Cover the open surfaces with a thick layer of etching cream, and rinse off about 30 seconds later. Proceed to peel off any taped pattern from the surface.
Let dry and your done!
Painting Palette

Materials
Oven Bake Polymer Clay (I chose white)
Ground Pepper
Polymer Gloss Finish
Steps
1. Check out some inspiration on Pinterest of different sizes and shapes of paint palettes to decide what you want yours to look like.
2. Roll out your clay to warm it up and make it malleable.
3. Roll it into the shape you desire and start adding groves for the paint.
4. Grind some ground pepper overtop and press it in to add a speckled clay look.
5. Bake according to the instructions that come with your clay!
6.Top it off with a gloss finish to resist the paint that will go on top.
Infused Oils
For your foodie friends, this is a fun and unique gift that can be personalized to their favourite flavour palette.
Materials
Glass bottles
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Dried Herbs & Spices
For example: Basil, rosemary, thyme, garlic, etc.
Coffee filter or Cheese Clothe
Steps
Insure that the glass bottles are sanitized and your herbs are completely dried.
Heat up your desired amount of oil on your stove top to a simmer
Using the ratio of 2:1 (oil to spices), dump the spices in the pot and let simmer for about 5 minutes
Let cool and pour into your glass bottles
5. Optional : decorate your bottles with personalized labels
3. Print out a photo (mine is using a instant film shot of my family) and insert it to display the beautiful shot.
