DIY Faux Travertine Block Side Table
Travertine is essentially a form of limestone, and it often used in design and decor. It gives a look of naturally porous stone, in bright, neutral colours. On TikTok, there is a trend going around making a minimalistic side table to resemble a travertine table, which would normally be very expensive. So I took this to the test to put it in my own space!
The process of this is super simple! All you need is three tile blocks or any sort, that matches your space. I got three flooring tiles off of Facebook marketplace for $8 each!
Next, I sanded them down to make it look polished and uniform, and coated them with a sealant to make sure it is durable!!
I adhered the three pieces together with some cement glue and voila! Easiest ‘high end’ DIY ever. Looks like it came right out of a museum!
