Completely Upgrading My Walk In Closet

As a professional DIY-er and home decorator, my style inevitably changes quite often, so I finally decided to reassess my walk in closet situation. I have been living with it for a couple years now, and there are aspects of it I love, and some, not so much! So here is my upgraded walk in closet space!

Before

Here you can see that my old closet room had a strong ‘Boho / Scandinavian’ vibe. I really loved it at the time, but recently, I feel like my style has shifted a bit more ‘Retro / Mid Century Modern’ - but still with a touch of boho. I found that I didn’t seem to use the couch in there a lot, and it started to be an outlet to pile up clothes instead of putting them away. Lastly, I needed a better layout as a whole that made more use of my space! So here’s what my plan was…

The Plan

In order to maximize this space, I planned to create a shelving system for my shoes, because let’s face it… I have a lot of them. I also wanted to switch out my couch with something that was a bit more my style. Lastly the room seemed a bit bland, so there needs to be colour and art added around the space.

THE RESULTS

Here is how it turned out!! I am super happy with the results and the room is much more practical to my wants and needs now!
